From Sweet-Talking Flower to Life-Reaping Vine

Heroine: “Godfather, you’re so good to me, just like... my late father.”

Villain (dotingly): “Silly girl, I’m the one you can rely on.”

Heroine (inner monologue): That’s right, because you’re the one who murdered my whole family. Be a good boy and have another sip of this ginseng soup, specially made for my “good son.” Once you finish this bowl, the next one will send you on your way.

To avenge her family, the heroine takes her father’s murderer as her “godfather.” With her innocent eyes and masterful art of playing sweet and harmless, she wraps the entire villainous family around her little finger. First she becomes the family favorite, then the troublemaker, and finally teaches them one simple truth: “A loving father and a devoted child” only works if you didn’t kill my father.
