Beyond the Dream of the Red Chamber

A single tale of the Red Chamber holds a thousand flavors. Seen from a different angle, it reveals all kinds of unexpected delights. Breaking away from the tragic fate of the original, this playful retelling paints a different portrait of the Grand View Garden: Daiyu is proud and aloof, with a strong spirit, and does not lose herself in romance; Baoyu gradually learns the ways of the world, putting aside his unruly ways and learning responsibility; and the people of the Jia family each come vividly to life, laughing and bickering or joining forces to hatch a plan. The Twelve Beauties of Jinling get to live with a warmth and vitality unlike anything before. A lighthearted spin-off of the classic Dream of the Red Chamber, this story avoids drastic changes and vulgar plotlines. With a gentle touch, it simply continues the warm everyday life of the Grand View Garden and invites you to enjoy a different kind of Red Chamber tale.
