Court Intrigue and Revenge + Love of Country and Family + Urban Fantasy/Supernatural Powers (with Divine Healer Elements)
During the Tianbao era of the Tang Dynasty, outside Chang’an lies a mass grave. A blood-soaked boy, Xie Chang’an, crawls out from beneath a pile of corpses. He saw his master accused of colluding with the enemy and executed along with his entire family, all for treating soldiers on the frontier. With his dying breath, his master shoved a “Nine Needles Order” into his mouth. “Remember, a healer can save lives, and also… take them!” Ten years later, a refined young physician arrives at Huichun Hall, Chang’an’s largest clinic. No one knows that he is Xie Chang’an, the boy who escaped death all those years ago.
A divine healer bearing a blood feud amid turbulent times uses the world as his game board, saving not only one person, but an entire nation.
