A modern landscaping engineer transmigrates to the eve of the An Lushan Rebellion. Using modern agricultural science, he saves a century-old peony, builds fountains, and invents greenhouses. He survives the power struggles between Crown Prince Li Heng and Right Chancellor Yang Guozhong, marries the daughter of an Imperial Guard, and befriends Li Bai and Du Fu. At Mawei Slope, he even switches things around to save Yang Yuhuan, and takes part in the An Lushan Rebellion. Afterward, he lives in hiding with the “resurrected” Consort Yang, spending the rest of his life farming. He has no golden finger. Swept along by the times, he is as insignificant as an ant, and can only struggle to stay alive.
