[Monsters Descend] [Road Survival] [Hardcore Survival] [Subverting Expectations]
My name is Lin Yuan. I'm 23 years old, and I died because I was too happy.
I won five million in the lottery, couldn't catch my breath, and died on the spot.
When I opened my eyes again, I was standing on an endless road. Billions of people stood around me, all just as bewildered. Behind us was thick, dark green fog filled with man-eating monsters. On both sides was brownish fog: anyone who entered would suffer full-body sores within three days. Ahead lay environments and resources that refreshed at random.
There was only one rule: keep moving forward. Don't stop.
Oh, right. Our vehicles were assigned at random. Some people got off-road vehicles, some got bicycles, and I got a kid's scooter.
They say this is the apocalypse, a trial, a hellscape where monsters have descended.
I think Heaven is messing with me.
Fine. I've already died once, anyway.
I don't know what's at the end of this road, but...
If I make it to the end alive, I lose.
I have built a whole new world view myself, which is the most rare thing about the story. At first, I thought it was similar to Steven King's story of "Keeping Walking." But after reading it, I discovered that it was a brand new and unexpected story.
It's okay, I can watch it
The plot is very flat, but because of the description of the characters, there is no feeling of being unable to read, which is quite novel.
I haven't read the latest novel yet, but it is indeed very innovative.
Very nice, five-star praise
Bland but worth watching
Plain road story
Bland, but well written
