[Novel Introduction]
Lin Fan dies suddenly after pulling an all-nighter at work, then wakes up bound to a "Tycoon System."
But he soon realizes something is wrong. Every time his account gains even a cent, Japanese government bonds tremble; every time he makes a purchase, expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike are pushed back by a day. The System tells him that his money is a projection of the world's source energy into the financial markets of various countries. In essence, it draws energy from Earth and converts it into reserve funds that "flow" into his pocket.
Before Lin Fan can even process this, national security comes knocking. Then the G20 finance ministers jointly beg him: "Spend all you like, but could you stop using our national treasuries as your personal piggy banks?"
He has no choice but to sign the Earth Stability Agreement, limiting his monthly spending to 10 million.
Then the System chimes in again: [Ding! Interdimensional trade request detected: Asgard requests 100 tons of Earth's emotional energy, offering fragments of Thor's hammer.]
Lin Fan looks at the milk tea in his hand and falls into deep thought. So now... he's supposed to start interstellar trade?
From a streetwise nobody on Earth, to a cross-dimensional merchant, to a bugged user hunted by the platform. In the end, nine oligarchs from advanced civilizations besiege Earth, and Lin Fan stands atop Mount Everest with a hundred thousand allies from lower-dimensional worlds at his back.
He opens the System panel and enters a line of code:
[Launch a platform-wide referendum.]
And so, the first administrator in thirty thousand years from a non-advanced civilization is born.
