The Outcast: There's Immortal Qi in My Pot

[The Outcast + Pot Saint Physique]

Zhang Fugui could have lived a peaceful life, but was forced into a world of practitioners lurking in the shadows of modern society.

The truth behind his grandfather’s bizarre death, the “Shadow” organization’s hunt through the rainforests of the southwest, the legendary “Heaven’s Eye Spring” said to reveal the past and future, and an ancient “Gate” on the verge of collapse… A series of crises uncovers a shocking secret long buried in the past. The little pot he carries to guard the cauldron is no cooking vessel. It is a key to a ritual artifact that bears “principle” and “order” and suppresses “chaos” and “misfortune.”

The Dao seed has chosen him, and fortune comes hand in hand with disaster. Forced to join the Wudang prodigy Wang Ye, Feng Shayan of the World Society, members of the Tang Sect, and others, Zhang Fugui embarks on a perilous path rife with corpse puppets, wicked shamans, ancient ruins, and competing factions. Deep beneath the abyss, the sealing stone shatters, and the shadows beyond the “Gate” begin to spread. In the Corpse Demon Cave, corpse refiners run rampant, while his closest friends and family hang by a thread. What he bears is no longer just a pot, but a heavy karmic burden that could overturn the entire world.

The one-year deadline is a respite bought with the life of the one-eared old man. In that brief time, Zhang Fugui must grasp the true meaning of the pot techniques, uncover the origin of the “Gate,” and find the answer to the path his grandfather left unfinished. Surrounded by powerful enemies and trapped in a web of mysteries, amid fiery clashes of supernatural abilities and desperate struggles on the brink of death, an ordinary young man saddled with a pot is forced to shoulder the fate of protecting the present world.
