The real Sun Wukong died in the ordeal of the true and false Monkey Kings!
Liu’er took his place and became a Buddha. Tathagata set the trap, and all the gods and Buddhas in the heavens were accomplices.
After my soul was lost for ten thousand years, I have returned reborn, carrying boundless hatred!
In this life,
I will bow to neither Heaven nor Earth, worship no gods or Buddhas, and kneel to no Tathagata!
Those who bully me, die!
Those who betray me, be destroyed!
Those who scheme against me, I’ll grind their bones to dust!
I will overturn Heaven, crush Mount Ling, gather the myriad demons, and sweep across the Three Realms!
I, Sun Wukong,
will not become the Victorious Fighting Buddha. I will be the Great Sage Equal to Heaven who slaughters the gods and destroys the Buddhas!
