Doomsday Stockpiling: The Whole Family Rallies

Lin Mu starved to death in the bitter cold of the apocalypse.

When he opened his eyes again, cicadas were buzzing in June, and the date on his phone left him stunned for a full ten minutes: it hadn't started yet.

In his previous life, he bore everything alone and starved to death in his rented apartment. He never even got to see his parents one last time.

This time, he wasn't going to keep it a secret.

"Mom, Dad, there's something I need to tell you. Sit down and listen."

The moment the coffee table in the living room vanished before their eyes and reappeared, Liu Rui began to cry, not from fear, but from heartbreak. Lin Shan said nothing. He got up, closed the window, and drew the curtains.

From that day on, this ordinary family of three began a full-scale mobilization with no end in sight.

His mother, Liu Rui, put all the skills she'd picked up running a small shop for over a decade to use: wholesale connections, bargaining skills, and the habit of keeping meticulous accounts of every packet of salt.

His father, Lin Shan, took on all the heavy lifting and technical work: weather stripping, insulation, exhaust pipes, reinforcing doors and windows. There wasn't much he couldn't fix or install.

Lin Mu handled the planning and the secret no one else could ever know: three hundred cubic meters of space in the palm of his hand.

Heat waves, locust plagues, torrential rain, extreme cold, endless nights... One disaster after another struck.

But this time, he wasn't alone.

Not a bleeding heart, not a cold-blooded killer. Protect your own first, and lend a hand when you can.

In the cracks of the apocalypse, there's porridge to eat, lights glowing, and someone waiting for you to come home. Damn, that's good.
