The Outcast: Taoist Wang, Want a Bloodied Blade?

【Wang Ye pairing】 Zhu Li is a quirky beauty with an ancient Zhu You lineage who can “read minds” and “draw blood.” Her life motto is simple: live well and treat people sincerely. After Qu Tong dumps her on Wudang Mountain, her biggest problem isn’t hiding her abilities. It’s this: why does her genius senior brother, Wang Ye, always like to tease her with a smile? “Junior Sister, you’re surrounded by the aura of bloodshed. Looks like you’re in for a bloody disaster.” “...Senior Brother, your predictions are spot-on, because I’m thinking of hitting you right now.” As the truth behind the Jiashen Uprising and the schemes of various factions gradually come to light, Zhu Li stands at a crossroads: On one side are the strings of control; on the other are the companions who truly care for her, and the Taoist priest who defies heaven to change her fate. Wiping the blood from her face, she smiles at Wang Ye behind her. “Senior Brother, can Feng Hou Qimen help me work out... which string would be best to cut?” When she discovers that her bloodline is the very eye of the storm, Wang Ye drops his teasing and shields her. “This time, I’ll calculate that fortune is on your side.” Zhu Li wipes the blood from the corner of her mouth. A drop of blood hardens into a blade at her fingertips, and she beams. “Senior Brother, this time, I’ll protect you.” The seemingly gullible but actually wise and perceptive shaman Zhu Li × the Taoist priest Wang Ye, who teases her like a cat at first, then becomes fiercely protective and a little unhinged. Between lies and truth, she uses sincerity to break through the impasse; amid schemes and protection, he uses Feng Hou as his chessboard. The story swings between comedic everyday antics and life-or-death crises. The main plot is serious, but the protagonist group has a quirky style.
