Bickering Couple: Married First, Falling in Love Later

She is Shen Qingwu, the legitimate daughter of a military family: lively, spirited, and quirky, with the grandest dream of roaming the world with a sword.

He is Lin Muzhi, the eldest son of the Minister of Revenue's household: gentle as jade, disciplined and courteous, and alive to be the perfect model of his family.

They should have been parallel lines that never crossed, but an "accident" at a palace banquet forced their paths together.

The emperor issued an edict granting them marriage. She tossed his dignity into a pond in the imperial gardens, and he locked her freedom away in the Marquis's mansion.

On their wedding night, she announced she would sleep on a roof beam.

from the squabbles of two people, to a family of four with children gathered around their knees.

Through countless springs, summers, autumns, and winters, they wrote the truest picture of "home" and "love":

It turns out the best kind of love isn't the flutter you feel when you first meet, but understanding, trusting, and staying by each other's side through every storm.

Once they joined hands, they stayed together for life.
