The Commander's Sloppy Wife Turns Over a New Leaf

Liang Zhixia, a top female executive at an investment bank in the twenty-first century, is fastidious, self-serving, and a neat freak. After dying from overwork, she transmigrates to 1982 and becomes the infamous “slovenly wife” who shares her name, married to Zhang Wendong, a division commander in the military district.

The original owner was lazy, greedy, and deceitful. Her home was so filthy you could barely step inside, and she had endured five years of bullying from her sister-in-law without daring to speak up. On her first day after transmigrating, Liang Zhixia wakes up in a foul-smelling woodshed. Faced with her sister-in-law's taunts and her mother-in-law's coldness, the neat freak's fury finally erupts... She rolls up her sleeves, does the laundry, tidies the house, heats water for a bath, and gradually makes the dilapidated home livable again.

Her husband, Zhang Wendong, is cold on the outside but warmhearted beneath, and has come home to visit. He finds his wife like a completely different person. When his sister accuses and frames her, he chooses to believe his wife. After learning about his sister's years of misdeeds, he flies into a rage and decides to take Liang Zhixia with him to his army post, away from this place of trouble.

When Liang Zhixia first arrives at the military compound, she faces curious looks and concealed hostility. Han Shuang, a member of the art troupe who has been in love with Zhang Wendong for years, repeatedly mocks this unsophisticated country wife. But Liang Zhixia is not the original owner. She has the insight and intelligence of an investment banker, along with a fiery, stubborn streak. She faces provocations without being cowed, and finds her footing in her new surroundings in her own way.
