Zhu Chengzuo is a descendant of a bloodline from the Ming dynasty, hundreds of years in the future.
One day, he transmigrates straight into the presence of the Hongwu Emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang!
Seeing Empress Ma gravely ill, the Crown Prince on the brink of death, and the emperor’s meritorious officials in mortal danger, he is overcome with grief.
“Ancestor, in this life, I’ll rewrite every regret!”
With heaven-defying medical skills, he saves the empress and the Crown Prince;
with wise plans, he brings all nations to pay tribute;
without drawing a blade, he averts the slaughter of meritorious officials;
and with extraordinary arts revealed to the world, he ushers in an unprecedented golden age under Hongwu!
Zhu Yuanzhang, eyes red: “With a grandson like you, how could the Ming fail to prosper!”
Zhu Chengzuo: “I seek neither the throne nor power.
I only hope my ancestor will never be alone again,
and that the Ming realm will know fulfillment without regrets!”
That year, Hongwu knew no regrets, and the golden age endured!
