Synopsis

Jiang Guyu is a senior officer in a well-known Italian mafia organization. His aim is deadly accurate, his methods ruthless, and his motto is: if it can be solved with force, there’s no need to talk.

That is, until a little kid starts clinging to him.

The golden-haired, blue-eyed tyke wraps both arms around his leg and bawls: “Daddy! Daddy Yu! Take me back to Japan to find Mommy!”

Jiang Guyu: “? I’m single. Where’d this kid come from?”

Forced to take the child to Japan to look for his wife, Jiang Guyu follows the clues to a middle school in Kanagawa. But by the tennis courts, he sees something that shatters his worldview:

The kid throws his arms wide and runs toward the captain of Rikkai Dai’s tennis club.

“Mommy! Mommy Seiichi!”

Yukimura Seiichi catches the child gently, then looks up at Jiang Guyu with a sweet smile. “Sir, care to explain?”

Jiang Guyu: …

Jiang Guyu: I think my brain’s broken.

Even more shocking, the kid sniffles, “Daddy can’t play tennis… Mommy will think Daddy’s no good… Waaaah…”

Yukimura Seiichi: “Oh?”

Looking into those smiling, violet eyes, Jiang Guyu takes a deep breath. “…Don’t cry. I’ll play. I’ll play, okay!”

And so, a senior officer in the Italian mafia takes to the court at the National Tournament, racket in hand, all to comfort a child (and a certain “Mommy”).

[Reader’s Guide]

Original male protagonist × Yukimura Seiichi, one-on-one pairing, happy ending

Everyday childcare and competitive tennis, lighthearted and heartwarming

A mountain of creative liberties, with an adjusted timeline. Canon purists, beware.

The kid is a master matchmaker and a professional at sabotaging Daddy.

[One-Line Summary]

A mafia officer is forced to play tennis and accidentally helps his “wife” lead Rikkai Dai to three consecutive championships.

Any New Prince of Tennis Fics With Good Writing? I’m a Rikkai Fan!

Looking for books like "The Prince of Tennis: The Child of God and His Divine Messenger." I really love these and want stories with two male leads or no CP. I don't want plots that are painfully awkward. The original Seigaku team being ridiculously overpowered is too much. I'm so out of books lately!! I've already finished everything I can stand, and the rest are still updating.
