Synopsis

At Mount Lingtai Fangcun, clouds and mist shroud the peaks. More than a hundred days have passed since the chaos was extinguished. The Three Realms are at peace, and the mortal world is calm. Though Yuan Tiangang has bowed to his master's wishes and promised never to investigate the true form of that Buddha, the doubts in his heart grow heavier with each passing day. Was the chaos that nearly destroyed the world truly just a single thought from a Buddha, cast off as an avatar? Among the countless Buddhas, who, despite preaching compassion and salvation, could have conceived the thought of annihilation that would destroy the world? If this secret remains unrevealed, and another wisp of “chaotic intent” descends someday, will the mortal world once again relive an ancient tragedy? Standing outside the Three-Star Cave of the Slanted Moon, he gazes at the sea of clouds beneath the heavens, his fingers tightening slightly. The faces and voices of the twelve guardians flash through his mind one by one. Ying Zheng's divine black-bird radiance, Guan Yu's righteous heavenly aura, Yue Fei's loyal heart and blood, Zhu Yunwen's lonely vigil in the mountains... How could millions of years of sacrifice and tears amount to nothing more than a careless thought from a Buddha? “Master... forgive me, but I cannot obey.” Yuan Tiangang sighs quietly, a resolve unlike any before shining in his eyes. He does not wish to disturb Patriarch Bodhi, nor alert the Buddhas of the Nine Heavens. Instead, using only his skill as a keeper of secrets, he quietly conceals his soul's aura, sheds his celestial radiance, and turns into an ordinary wandering Daoist. He steps down from the immortal mountain and enters the mortal world. He will not borrow the power of the Heavenly Dao, invoke divine might, or disturb the flow of time and space. With only a mortal body, a mortal heart, and mortal eyes, he will seek out the mystery of the Buddha's true form, the one that even Patriarch Bodhi dares not speak of openly.

Looking for Truly Good Books. No Immature Stories!

I've read too many books, and most lose me after a few chapters. The writing is so immature, as if it were written by a kid with only a middle-schooler's thinking skills. I want to read good books, truly good books!
