After My Divorce, I Opened an Agency That Takes Down Scumbag Men

Seven years ago, she dropped out of school to help him build a business. He said, “Once the company goes public, I'll make it up to you with the grandest wedding in the city.”

Seven years later, he walked into her consulting room with his mistress and asked, “How is marital property divided in a divorce?”

She didn't take off her glasses or let her hand tremble.

She simply pushed the card reader toward him.

“Mr. Zhou, my consultation fee is 63,000 yuan, exactly what you owed me for tuition back then.”

He paid, never recognizing her.

The moment an old contact name popped up in his phone, he finally remembered that he had once saved someone as “Wanwan.”

She was the person he'd deleted seven years ago but never had the heart to erase from his trash folder.

And in her drawer, she kept the equity promise he'd signed seven years ago and never honored.

As well as a potted plant that should have been thrown away long ago, but had been set to auto-delete from the cloud drive in thirty days.

So he'd set it to clear automatically.

He just couldn't bring himself to erase it completely.

Just as he couldn't bring himself to change his password, change his number, or forget the sight of her waiting for him by the window of their rented room that winter.

But she had long since washed the curtains in that window white.

For seven years, she hadn't been waiting for him to come back.

She had been waiting for him to walk in on his own and hand her the knife himself.

Now the knife was in her hand.
