Godfather of LA: Starting by Snatching Yao Ming

(The rating has only just appeared on day one, so it’ll go up later. I think it’ll shoot way up! Please show your support, you’re all legends!)

(A basketball novel about Kobe, Yao Ming, and business!)

While other people are reborn to play basketball, Li Ang is reborn to buy a team.

Back in 2004, the OK duo has fallen apart, and the Lakers dynasty is on the verge of collapse.

As the new power broker behind the Los Angeles Lakers, Li Ang watches the tactics board with a Cuban cigar between his teeth and sneers, “Basketball can’t save Los Angeles. Capital is what rules the entire league!”

From the start, he drives O’Neal away, steals Yao Ming out from under everyone’s noses, and cures the hidden flaw that threatens to destroy the Oriental Giant.

He reshapes the Black Mamba, forms Bad Boys 2.0, and builds the most bloodthirsty purple-and-gold battleship in NBA history.

You think he’s just a hard-nosed tactical guru with a “god-tier cheat”?

Wrong!

He gambles big on the subprime mortgage crisis on Wall Street and rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars.

He establishes Purple and Gold Media in Hollywood and manipulates the entire American media scene with ease.

He gets in early on tech giants in Silicon Valley and uses online traffic to crown his own star players.

While other penniless owners are still tearing their hair out over a few million in luxury tax, Li Ang is already cruising in a superyacht, waving checks for tens of millions in cash and knocking every general manager in the league off their feet.

Faced with David Stern’s stern warning, “Mr. Li, please don’t use money made outside the game to disrupt the NBA’s competitive balance,”

Li Ang blows a smoke ring and looks down at the league commissioner. “David, if you don’t play by my rules, I can buy the entire league tomorrow. In Los Angeles, I am the rules!”

This is the rise of an LA tyrant, a tale of cash, cigars, ironclad defense, and an invincible fleet!
