The Basketball Tycoon

In 2002, as the NBA prepared to expand, a mysterious Wall Street financier used extraordinary means to secure the rights to establish a new team in Charlotte. He was Lin Feng, an underdog expansion-team owner with a basketball philosophy ahead of its time. While everyone else chased immediate results, he declared openly that his team's future belonged to “draft picks” and “potential,” treating them as the most valuable “hard currency.”

Faced with mockery from the league, skepticism from the media, and anger from fans, Lin Feng applied the cold precision of the “Wolf of Wall Street,” using an unheard-of team-building theory based on “asymmetric advantages” to lay clever plans and work behind the scenes. From the strategic battle of the expansion draft and the precise interception of a talented point guard to discovering and developing a superstar scorer, then finding the overlooked “streaky shooter”... Like a master operator, he assembled, step by step, a dream team built for the future.

This was more than a financial game that overturned tradition. It was an unprecedented gamble challenging the established order of the league's elite. When the cheers of victory finally drowned out the “con man owner” insults, and the once-mocked “collection of talent” stood atop the world, Lin Feng would prove that true basketball wisdom wasn't limited to the court. He would become the most underestimated team architect and the perfect owner in his players' eyes, writing the story of a Charlotte dynasty through one financial masterstroke after another.
