I Opened My Eyes in the Abyss

From the Mortal Realm to Cultivation

Lin Chang’an had lived for seventeen years in the deepest alley of Yong’an City.

His world held only three things: bitter medicinal broth, the malt candy his master secretly slipped him, and the dimples that appeared when his little sister A’He smiled.

He was born with “blocked meridians,” a useless body with no chance of ever cultivating. Then, one day, people from the immortal sect’s Nangong family shattered the scent of medicine and treated him like dust. They took A’He as a “medicinal catalyst” to prolong their patriarch’s life, and with a flick of their fingers, made his master’s blood spatter across the apricot grove.

They threw him into the Demon Burial Abyss.

“Interesting, a body hated by the Dao. This Venerable can feel your resentment and unwillingness. Would you be willing to become my vessel? I can help you take revenge.” A whisper came from the depths of the abyss.

“I... am willing.”

Years later, Lin Chang’an returned and slaughtered his enemies with his own hands.

“You... You truly mean to wipe us all out? You’ll surely incur Heaven’s wrath!”

“Heh, heh, hahaha! Why didn’t you say a word back then, when you tried to wipe me out? And now you dare accuse me?”

There’s a saying: “To catch a monster, you must become a monster even more terrifying than it.”

From then on, Lin Chang’an was no more. In his place stood a Demon Venerable feared by all.
