Mother and Daughter Reborn: Revenge and Repayment Together

(Historical setting + both reborn + love that grows over time + general + adorable child + revenge)

Only on her deathbed did Su Yan learn the truth about her identity. She was the eldest daughter of the Su family of Jinling, but someone had switched her life at birth.

Before she was even two, she was sold to a family of villagers surnamed Du to bring good fortune to their simpleminded son.

Later, the Han family's son really did recover his wits and passed the imperial examination, eventually going to the provincial capital to take a minor official post.

The Du family looked down on her humble origins and left her in the countryside to fend for herself when she was in her thirties.

The child she had raised with such difficulty was given away by the Du family like a present to an old man.

A few days later, when she saw her daughter again, she was already a bloodied corpse. Su Yan was so enraged that she vomited blood and fainted on the spot.

Su Lan looks at her little body. She had been beaten to death, yet somehow returned to her childhood. At this point, Du Xinghe has not yet passed the imperial examination.

Life with her adoptive mother is not quite so hard yet. After she dies and returns to her adoptive mother's side, she watches her mother die from the shock of vomiting blood. She wants nothing more than to tear those beasts limb from limb.

In this life, she will change her adoptive mother's fate and make sure she doesn't die alone and miserable.

She will also make those who killed her suffer a fate worse than death, and take revenge on her birth parents' behalf, too.

Even harder to believe is that the neighbor who buried them after their deaths was the very man she saw weeping silently at her adoptive mother's grave. He was even beaten to death while trying to avenge the two of them.
