The Black Flag Marches West: Flames of War in the Western Regions

History - War - Science Fiction - Conquest - Hardcore After transmigrating into the body of a Qin dynasty death-row convict awaiting execution after the autumn harvest, Mo Chi finds himself bound to a System containing the legacy of an advanced civilization. It tells him: Want to survive? Don't get caught up in palace intrigue in Xianyang. Fight your way west! So, with three hundred death-row convicts as his foundation, he establishes the Black Banner Army. Gunpowder and stirrups let him overwhelm an age of cold weapons with technology from a higher dimension; Alcohol and emergency medicine help him build a battlefield hospital in the Gobi Desert. The thirty-six kingdoms of the Western Regions? Nothing more than stepping stones on the Black Banner's westward campaign. At the end of the Silk Road, he builds Huaxia's first outpost on the frontier of the stars. Then they excavate the ancient city of Jingjue... An ancient bronze box opens on its own, unleashing a horde of living corpses tainted by genetic contamination. The System in his mind flashes a blinding alert: Warning! "Civilization Formatting" protocol activated... It turns out the Xiongnu and the emperors were never the real enemies. A "cleanup program" buried deep in the stars has begun, and the Black Banner will be this civilization's final firewall. Keeping the Great Qin alive? That's too small a vision. This battle is for humanity's right to survive in the universe!
