Childhood Rivals + The Long Road to Winning Her Back + Two Strong Leads
P.S. The heroine is cool-headed and unhinged, not crazy. The hero is no match for her at first, but later returns as a domineering CEO. Both leads grow over time.
Ling Wei is a top-tier star in three fields, known across the internet for being both unhinged and arrogant.
At the height of her fame, she offends a powerful family and becomes a discarded pawn. Sent back to the countryside, she is blacklisted across the internet.
Xie Yuheng is her lifelong nemesis and a business tycoon.
When they were kids, she smashed cake onto his suit. He snuck into her bedroom in the middle of the night... and cut off her hair.
As adults, she endorses a rival brand, and he posts online accusing her of "bullying" him. The result? He gets her a million new followers.
Everyone thinks that when she falls into the mud, he will be the first to clap and cheer.
They think their relationship all these years was nothing more than a niche ship dreamed up by a few online fans.
Until Ling Wei is dumped back in the countryside.
Xie Yuheng stares at the empty trending topics page and realizes, for the first time, that the internet is fucking boring.
He goes to find her at the entrance to the village and sees the woman who once dominated the world, quietly watching the sunset.
Without looking back, she speaks so softly her words seem about to scatter in the wind:
"Xie Yuheng, do we really have to keep hurting each other like this?"
#She finally admits defeat, but he panics like a fool who won the whole world after his very first fight.#
The plot is always unexpected and expected, not routine but very engaging to watch. I really admire the author's writing style, yes, even more, because it creates that sense of CP. I also like the heroine's character very much and doesn't talk much. It's the kind of rivalry that I really like. They really hurt each other, there's no flirting, but there's a sense of destiny.
