I'm Not the God of Plays: Devouring the Gods

The Red Star Cataclysm sweeps across the world, while bizarre creatures from the Gray Realm devour civilization. Under the control of the God of Plays and the gaze of the audience, Chen Ling finally discovers the truth: he is the harbinger of an apocalyptic calamity. In the Devouring the Gods arc, he breaks free of the shackles of the Way of Plays and, in his Nuo form, fuses the powers of the shamanic and theatrical arts to confront the ultimate conspiracy behind the God of Plays. The struggles among the Fourteen Divine Paths are nothing more than a game in which the gods keep humanity penned up, and the red shooting stars are sickles the gods use to reap the mortal world.

With a bronze dagger in hand, Chen Ling smashes the judgment platform and uses his own calamity-ridden body as bait to begin his path of devouring the gods: consuming the spirits of bizarre creatures, assimilating the essence of the Divine Paths, and defying the audience's rules as he faces off against the Silver King, the Centipede Lord, and other gods. Accompanied by the remnant soul of his younger brother Chen Yan and fighting alongside Han Meng, Chu Muyun, and the others, he battles in the rifts of the abyss and holds the line amid the ruins of civilization.

When the God of Plays' mask crumbles to ash and the gods' curtains are torn apart layer by layer, Chen Ling declares, in his form as a god-devourer: Humanity's fate has never been written by the gods. In this play that defies heaven and changes destiny, we alone take the lead!
