The Legend of Lu Xiao, King of the Underworld

A Legend of the Underworld

On a neon-lit street washed by torrential rain, Lu Xiao grips a bloodstained dagger atop a container at the old docks. Three years ago, he watched with his own eyes as his father's gang was wiped out by their archrival, Shen Wanshan, and his elder brother died in a bloody street fight. From a lone wolf exiled overseas to an avenger who sneaks back into Jiangcheng, he rallies scattered forces with an iron fist, carving a bloody path through a world of flashing blades.

He rises to power by stepping over his rivals' corpses, yet still upholds the underworld's last rules: no harming women or children, no dealings in drugs. When Shen Wanshan's gun is aimed at his brow and his old brothers turn against him, Lu Xiao finally understands that legends of the underworld aren't forged through killing. They're born from the fierce refusal to bow, carved out in the narrow space between loyalty and betrayal.
