After Mistaking My Best Friend’s Dad for a Gift, He Spoiled Me Rotten

“A gift. Don’t you dare move.”

By the time the morning light grew blinding, I was staring at the familiar, mature, handsome face of the man beside me, struck dumb with shock. I’d heard he was the business world’s dreaded living King of Hell.

Even worse, it seemed I wasn’t getting away.

He tightened his arms around me and pulled me back into his embrace just as I tried to sneak away, his voice husky with satisfaction.

“Who was it that said last night, ‘Whoever regrets it is a puppy’?”

“Woof...?”

“Too late.”
