After Forcing a Kiss on His Minister's Wife, the Tyrant Rushes to Marry Her

On the night of a victory banquet at the palace, Shen Qingci was drugged by her fiancé’s concubine and stumbled into the emperor’s bedchamber, where she spent a wild night with the tyrant Xiao Jin.

Savoring the experience, Xiao Jin ignored the fact that she was betrothed to General Lu Jing of the North (originally Lin Jingmo) and issued an imperial decree to seize her and bring her into the palace, keeping her captive and doting on her every night.

“Run again, and I’ll lock you up with golden chains for the rest of your life.”

Terrified by his possessiveness, Shen Qingci fled again and again, only to be caught each time, until she discovered that the tyrant had two very different sides.

If someone else schemed against him, their entire family was executed!

If she schemed against him, Xiao Jin’s eyes burned with passion. “Qingci went to all this trouble for me. She must be deeply in love.”

When she cried, he gently comforted her. When she was angry, he let her beat him. Anyone who hurt her vanished without a trace the very next day.

Later, Xiao Jin overruled all opposition, abolished the six palaces, and made her, a woman of merchant origins, his empress, sharing the realm with her.

Her former fiancé, Lu Jing, had once sneered at her: “Without the marquis’s household, who could you possibly marry?”

Then, during the spring hunt at the imperial retreat, he saw the tyrant who had once knelt before the late emperor and executed powerful ministers bending down to put Shen Qingci’s shoes on for her. Looking up, Xiao Jin wore an adoring smile. “Empress, would you like to punish me or reward me today?”
