Liu Datou's Soldiers

After I was captured, the enemy used a lie detector to ask for my unit designation.

The machine showed I was telling the truth: “I'm a soldier under Liu Datou.”

They burst out laughing. “That bumpkin warlord's army was wiped out ages ago!”

The lie detector suddenly started blaring. I slowly raised my head. “Who told you... that Liu Datou was a warlord?”

The lights in the interrogation room began to flicker, and black slime seeped from the walls.

They didn't know that our unit had never existed on any official roster.

And Liu Datou was the name we gave that thing.
