The Confession I Took Back

[Inspirational campus story | Vocational school coming-of-age | Interethnic romance | Second chance | One-on-one, both leads sexually inexperienced | Top-tier star × legendary pro gamer] Five points short in the high school entrance exam, Xiang Yangsheng, a Hui girl from a small county town, had to give up on high school. With her pride and disappointment in tow, she enrolled in the performing arts program at a vocational school in Ying City. Sensitive, conflicted, and fiercely proud, she moved cautiously through an unfamiliar world, full of apprehension. Then she unexpectedly met Wen Ye, a warm and sincere Han Chinese boy. They spent their youth side by side. He saw through the tough front she put on, embraced all her insecurities and unmet needs, and stayed by her as she found her footing onstage and chased her dreams of stardom. He became the one and only salvation in her bleak youth. Their love was passionate and their feelings sincere, but the differences in their ethnic beliefs and customs, along with society's prejudice, formed an insurmountable divide between them in their youth. As graduation approached, no amount of reluctance could overcome the constraints of reality. Xiang Yangsheng painfully called it quits. Their young love ended abruptly, and they went their separate ways to face the vast horizons of life. Years later, they met again. The vocational school girl had become a top-tier star adored by millions, while the once-gentle boy had risen to become a legendary esports champion. Reunited in a sea of people, their old feelings surged back. Wen Ye pursued her relentlessly and stood fiercely by her side. Across the years and the barriers of convention, he returned with an unwavering devotion, his eyes still holding the same affection he had carried all those years. “Shengsheng, I won't let go this time.”
