Beast World: The Tragic Tale of a Reluctant Playboy

Beneath a strange sky where sunlight and moonlight shone over the beast world at the same time, a soul from the modern age found himself in an unprecedented predicament. High school student Zhuang Jing never imagined that turning on the TV one weekend would mark the beginning of his life as a dragon: naked, with horns and a tail, stumbling through a primeval forest.

Luckily, he met Ling Zhilei, a kind gray wolf beastman. In this world of beastfolk, where “Origin Arts” were the source of power, Zhuang Jing was reborn as Ao Zhu, but was burdened by the mystery of his lost memories and a rare “male pregnancy constitution.” He wanted to keep his head down and survive, but fate never gave him a moment's peace.

From helping the forthright lion constable Shi Li solve strange cases in a small town, to adventuring alongside Wu Yao, an alcoholic white tiger warrior monk; from being drawn into the power struggles within the dragon clan and reuniting with his siblings, to facing the mysterious Demon King Long Sheng and his “Purgatory of the Seven Emotions,” Ao Zhu's journey was destined to be eventful. He wielded three kinds of Origin Arts: water, light, and wood. Using his modern way of thinking to solve mysteries in this strange world, he repeatedly distinguished himself in fierce battles and, without even realizing it, became impossible to ignore in the eyes of several powerful beastmen.

Meanwhile, in the shadows of the world, the legend of the twin children of the Dark Dragon King and the threat of an impending apocalypse were drawing near. Ao Zhu had to embark on the thorny road to defeat the Demon King while dealing with increasingly complicated emotional entanglements.

In the end, this dragon would have to learn to face his “player” fate while saving the world, even though his heart kept shouting: I really don't want to be a player!
