The Sickly Beauty in Commander Xiao’s Palm

[Two powerful leads doting on each other + a villainess taking down scum + satisfying power struggles + mystery-solving] The imperial authority of the Great Jing dynasty has fallen into other hands, and the princes are locked in a fierce, under-the-table struggle for the throne. Women of every kind, beautiful yet vicious, have set their sights on Xiao Che, the iron-fisted commander of the Embroidered Uniform Guard.

A noblewoman from a powerful family adores him and slanders Shen Jinghan, the ailing strategist he holds dearest, accusing him of colluding with the enemy. A powerful minister’s daughter hopes to use him to seize power, pretending to be gentle and virtuous as she tries to drive them apart. The empress dowager’s poisonous beauty and the Shadow Pavilion’s female assassins are even more eager to eliminate Shen Jinghan and take his place.

But they have all forgotten: Shen Jinghan may look frail and constantly rely on medicine, but he is a devious strategist who can sway the entire court with a single sentence, excelling at both taking down scum and political maneuvering. Xiao Che is rebellious and ruthless in interrogation, daring even to defy the princes, yet he is gentle and obedient only with Shen Jinghan, protective of him to the extreme.

The villainesses try every trick to split the couple, only to be humiliated by the two leads working together. You slander him? I’ll expose your family’s corruption. You try to drive us apart? I’ll declare my feelings in front of everyone. You send assassins after him? I’ll protect him with my life!

Together, they solve the consorts’ murder, investigate the imperial examinations scandal, and put down a prince’s coup. The day they rise to the pinnacle of power is also the day they take down every last piece of scum. In this Great Jing, I want power over the entire court, and I want to protect you, year after year!
