Siheyuan: A Cross-World Trader Starts with a Chicken

1962, at the tail end of a famine.

Teenage Du Heng is facing a desperate predicament: if he can't get his hands on a rooster, he'll lose the job he inherited from his father.

2026, a midlife crisis.

Du Heng is caught in the act of a cheating couple and beaten badly by a rich heir. Then he gets a call telling him he's been fired, and his life hits rock bottom.

When two jade pendants from different eras glow at the same time, a mysterious "mailbox" appears before them, one capable of sending physical objects.

And so, a barter spanning sixty years quietly begins:

The teenager sends over yellowed ration coupons and pristine Third Series renminbi: "Immortal, this is all the money I've got. Please, I beg you, send me a rooster that weighs three jin!"

Looking at the rare coins in his hands, whose value has soared, the middle-aged man replies, "Wait. And don't call me an immortal. Call me... comrade."

From a life-saving chicken to supplies that can change their fates, these two little men cast aside by their times discover that they are each other's only lifeline to salvation.
