After Dark: Nie Lei of Qingdao

They say that after dark, a single white cane calls the shots in Qingdao's underworld.

My name is A Lei. I'm blind, and the final judge of every feud.

The rules I set make both sides of the law bow their heads.

Until my brothers betrayed me and the police closed in, and everything I'd protected began to crumble.

Then the policewoman who always came in for a massage suddenly said to me on a rainy night:

“Stop pretending. The moment you ‘heard’ the handcuffs, I knew it was you.”
