From a Rusty Coin to a Wei-Jin Zither, Restoring Artifacts Takes the World by Storm

Gao Yang: ??? This thing showed up even more punctually than my food delivery?!

For his livestream debut, Gao Yang aims a spray bottle at an ancient painting and “spritzes” it. The chat explodes: “Are you putting on a water-splashing festival?”

“If you can restore that painting, I’ll livestream myself eating a keyboard!”

From scraps of paper to million-dollar originals, from rusty copper coins to Qianlong Tongbao, the whole internet is begging me to start a class. A British tycoon brings Gao Yang a bronze animal head from Yuanmingyuan and asks him to restore the clock: “Mr. Gao, name your price.”

Gao Yang: “Price? I want you to kneel and watch our ancestors’ treasures shine again.”

[Cultural relic restoration + livestream comeback + sharing Chinese culture with the world. I’m carrying this match for sure, but let me finish this bowl of instant noodles first. I’m starving.]
