The Jealous Prince's Diary: He Never Forgets a Grudge

When the “little ball of sunshine” climbs over a wall and blunders into the famously jealous He Mansion, could the pastries she hands out on a whim really make the cold-faced guards rebel as one? And why is the young lord, his ears burning red, secretly filling his diary with her name...

Shi Yuzhao’s motto in life: There’s no problem a pastry can’t solve. If one won’t do, make a whole tableful.

That is, until she climbs the wrong wall while rescuing a kitten and drops into the most mysterious mansion in the entire capital: the He residence.

They say the cold-faced young lord, He Yixuan, has killed countless people and has no interest in women. He is an aloof flower on a high peak, both adored and feared by the noble young ladies.

But can someone explain this?

Why does she squat in the dungeon as if she’s hosting a tea party?

Why does the head guard report, “She smiled at the cook three times today,” while handing her freshly picked plum blossoms, his ears turning red?

Why does the young lord’s “observation diary” keep getting thicker, gradually changing from A Record of Her Words and Deeds Today into A Guide to Making Zhaozhao Smile Only at Me?

Shi Yuzhao is baffled.

All she wants is to open a pastry shop, help her neighbors forget their troubles, and look for her family along the way.

How did she end up, without even realizing it,

winning over a proud, sharp-tongued best friend, taking in a sweet but dim young lord as her little brother, and becoming the princess’s number-one fangirl?

And how did she make the young lord, a walking jar of jealousy, go from “Stay away from me” to “She looked at someone else for more than three seconds. Write it down,” before finally declaring in public, “I’m the only one who gets to eat a whole plate of her pastries.”

Only when her true origins come to light and a conspiracy emerges does Shi Yuzhao realize that the young lord who is always jealous and always blushing has long since built the strongest fortress around her.

And the sweetest thing he ever says is: “Zhaozhao, just keep reaching for the sun. I’ll shield you from every storm.”
