After waking up one day, Lin Xiaofan finds his life as a scavenger bound to the [Everything Scavenging System].
What others see as trash looks to him like treasure-filled mystery boxes waiting to be unlocked.
On the first day, he brings home an unconscious middle-aged man. The System prompts: [Congratulations! You’ve discovered the “Walking God of Wealth.” Make contact to trigger a fortune boost.]
On the second day, he finds an albino boy with no pants on. The System sounds an alarm: [Warning! Cupid, the god of love (juvenile form), has fallen into the mortal world. His arrows may cause localized emotional instability.]
On the third day, a scruffy middle-aged man with a scowl blocks his door. “I’m Black Impermanence, a top enforcer of the Underworld. I’ve used up all my spiritual power chasing evil spirits. Got anything to eat?”
Lin Xiaofan looks at the roomful of “things that shouldn’t exist” and falls into deep thought. Then one day, an unprecedented red dot lights up on the System’s map. Its label reads: [Mythic Relic: Fragment of the Nine Tripods. Failure to contain it will trigger the regional revival of mythology.]
Pseudo-gods, multinational corporations, and a mysterious reclamation bureau descend on the scene.
Lin Xiaofan silently pulls out the “alien brick” he just scavenged, even though he can’t make heads or tails of its manual.
“Don’t worry,” he says with a smile to the forces glaring at him. “I’m just a scavenger passing through.”
[Your trash, my epic. This world is my biggest scrapyard.]
