Su Qingyuan, the Duke of Hou's true-born daughter, has her betrothal stolen and her name smeared. Cornered with nowhere left to turn, she awakens an ancient inheritance of talisman magic and medicine. To avenge herself, she sets her sights on Prince Jin Xiao Jue, whose merit is nearly exhausted and whose power holds sway over the entire court. “Lend me your merit to survive this tribulation, and I’ll extend your life.”
An imperial decree forcing the wrong bride to marry binds their fates together. She draws talismans to suppress evil and saves lives to build merit, while he wields political power to purge his enemies and keeps her safe.
Until one day, he leans close and whispers in her ear, “I’ll give you all my merit, and my life too. You… will you stay by my side forever?”
