The Fourth Buddha Ancestor

#DualMaleLeads #Brotherhood #HighOctane #EasternFantasy #BuddhistReform #FeelGoodRead #FromNoviceMonkToBuddha For ten thousand years, Buddhism has had only three Buddhas. Past, present, and future, each ruling over an age. The fourth seat has stood empty for ten thousand years. No one dares claim it, and no one is worthy of it. Until a young novice monk on Mount Qingyan unearthed a forbidden book. Shen Qingxuan was twelve. While the other novices memorized sutras, he snuck into the sutra library to read On Breaking Appearances, written by a Buddhist apostate. The book posed just one question: Why can't a thousand-year-old tradition be changed? He spent twelve years grasping eight words: “Breaking appearances is easy. Building anew is hard.” His brother, Zhao Hongwen, took another path. Shen Qingxuan used reason to break with the old ways; Zhao Hongwen used force to suppress delusion. They faced the mountain gates side by side as boys, then severed their bond on a rainy night. When an age-old demonic calamity descended, they had no choice but to stand together again. “Hongwen, I've come to take you home.” “I won't cultivate Buddhism anymore.” “Today, I will open a new heaven for all Buddhas.” From the sutra library to the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, from an apostate expelled from the mountain gate to the Patriarch of All Buddhas, Shen Qingxuan used a path no one else dared take to show the world: Buddha is not someone to worship. All the Buddhist disciples under heaven must lower their eyes before me.
