Slam Dunk: After Love and Defeat, Sakuragi Resets at Max Level

In the second round of the national tournament, the entire Shohoku team fought to the bitter end, pulling off an upset against defending champions Sannoh Kogyo and creating the most dazzling underdog miracle in the history of high school basketball in Japan.

But glory was fleeting. The bloody battle against Sannoh drained every last ounce of strength from the team. In the third round against Aiwa Gakuin, Rukawa Kaede was exhausted, Mitsui Hisashi couldn't hit his threes, and Akagi Takenori was shut down by double-teams. The team was powerless to resist and suffered a crushing defeat.

Lying on a stretcher, Sakuragi Hanamichi could only watch his teammates kneel and weep, listening to the jeers from the stands as rage threatened to burst from his chest.

“If I could do it all over again, I would never lose!”

When he opened his eyes again, cicadas buzzed noisily and the sun beat down.

Before him stood the familiar black-haired girl in a sunlit hallway. Smiling brightly, she asked, “Excuse me... do you like basketball?”

Sakuragi looked down at his unharmed back, at a body not yet tempered by the national tournament but brimming with limitless potential. He had elite rebounding instincts, polished skills under the basket, and the unshakable nerve forged in the battle against Sannoh. At the peak of his abilities, he had returned to the summer of his first year in high school, when the story began.

This time, Sakuragi Hanamichi was no longer a novice who didn't even know the rules. He had memories of every game yet to come, the skills and experience of a national-level player, and a greater hunger for victory than anyone else.

He would erase every regret of the past, dominate Kanagawa and sweep the nation. He would lead Shohoku to the pinnacle of high school basketball!
