Transmigrating to 2003: Sakuragi Takes Over the NBA

[Slam Dunk fan fiction + transmigration + passionate basketball + defying fate + making up for regrets]

Sakuragi Hanamichi wakes up to discover that he’s transmigrated to America in 2003, the basketball mecca Rukawa Kaede has always dreamed of!

The good news: he’s grown more than ten centimeters. The NBA? Genius Sakuragi is coming! ✧(≖ ◡ ≖)

The bad news: that damn fox, Rukawa Kaede, came along too, and… somehow he’s grown taller as well?!

(Sakuragi: That’s impossible! (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻)

When Sakuragi Hanamichi laughs wildly in the locker room, “Hahaha, look at this vertical! This genius is smashing the backboard today!!”

Rukawa strolls past calmly. “Idiot, you’ll have to pay for the backboard if you break it.”

Sakuragi: “…Shut up, you damn fox!”

In 2003, the league is packed with legends.

Shaq dominates the paint, Kobe’s fadeaway jumpers are a work of art, Iverson dances past defenders with dazzling moves, and the young King James is ready to make his mark…

Sakuragi plants his hands on his hips and laughs. “Hey, you guys on the other team! Have you decided yet? Which one of you is taking second place?”
