Siheyuan: Starting as a Level-Five Engineer

Lin Chen is reborn in a courtyard house in 1958. His father died from a workplace injury, the Jia family has its eye on the compensation money, and Yi Zhonghai is plotting to take the house.

A hellish start? Sorry, I'm here to work on technology!

After awakening the Great Nation Industrial System, Lin Chen sets out on a completely different path as an engineer, beginning with repairing a scrapped rolling mill.

Yi Zhonghai tries to morally blackmail him? Lin Chen: "Get lost. Don't stop me from drawing these blueprints. This is a state secret!"

Silly Zhu tries to use force? Lin Chen: "Assaulting a senior national technical expert! Security office, arrest him!"

The Jia family wants to take everything from him? Lin Chen: "I eat braised pork at every meal. I'd pour the gravy down the drain before feeding a pack of ingrates!"

While the courtyard's beasts are still scheming over a pound of cornmeal as if their lives depended on it, Lin Chen has already used his top-tier skills not only to keep his whole family well-fed and healthy, but also to rise step by step to the top of the Ministry of Industry, becoming someone they can only look up to!
