The Taster Maid Is Too Tempting, and the Sickly Marquis Sees Red

Su Qingyan, a nutritionist for state banquets, opened her eyes to find herself a kitchen maid who could be beaten to death at any moment in the Marquis of Zhenbei’s household.

Rumor had it that Marquis Gu Changfeng had been poisoned, was vicious and bloodthirsty, and had been reduced to skin and bones by anorexia. He had even killed more than a dozen chefs.

Facing certain death, Su Qingyan looked at the Book of Gluttonous Delicacies that had appeared in her mind and gritted her teeth as she bet her life on it.

While everyone else served up delicacies, she brought him “rice oil” made from old rice fit for pig feed, “dumplings” made from weeds in the back courtyard, and “black gold jelly” made from foul-smelling fish bones!

Everyone in the household thought she was doomed, but who could have guessed that the marquis, who was like a demon, would eat every last bite!

From a lowly servant to the mistress of the household, she wielded her spatula and advanced one careful step at a time.

All she wanted was to save enough silver to buy back her freedom and run away. But the man, now recovered and full of strength, pinned her firmly against the kitchen stove, his eyes bloodshot. “I saved your life, and you still want to run?”
