Her husband had died young, and she was raising her daughter alone, as fragile as a flower in need of care. Before the apocalypse, I thought it would be sacrilegious even to look at her for too long.
But now, monsters roamed everywhere and civilization had collapsed.
Dragging my bloodstained baseball bat, I had only one thought:
“Gu Ci, you have to stay alive until I get back. I'll find your daughter for you!”
