I Use Shadow Puppets to Subdue the Haunted World

[No System] [Eerie Revival] [Chinese-Style Horror] [Craftsman] [Decisive and Ruthless]

Cheng Yan died in a flood while saving someone.

His master tearfully made him a “fiend-quelling shadow puppet” and buried it with the bloodstained Lu Ban ruler.

When Cheng Yan opened his eyes again, his lingering attachment to the living world and his puppet body, formed from extreme yin energy, kept him from reincarnating. Instead, he fell into the “Eerie World,” where the living were forbidden to enter.

The place was crawling with indescribable horrors and rampaging evil spirits. No living person could go near.

Facing the ferocious ghost before him, Cheng Yan quietly took out the bone carving knife his master had passed down to him.

“Your skin looks great. Good timing, I’m short a performer.”

He skinned it, scraped its bones, painted it, and strung it together.

The ghost’s screams turned it into a toy in his hands.

…

Later, some humans wandered into the Eerie World and discovered a young man in a long gown seated on the most terrifying forbidden stage.

Behind him, countless S-rank horrors obediently dangled from strings, performing A Parade of a Hundred Ghosts for him.

“Don’t be afraid.” Cheng Yan gave the puppet in his hand a little shake. “Buy a ticket, and I’ll keep you safe.”
