Showing Our Forebears a Prosperous Age: China Is Just as You Hoped

[Travel Between Past and Present + Adorable Child + Love of Country and Family + Tearjerking Everyday Life + Prosperous China]

Three-year-old Nuannuan has a secret: there is a door hidden in her wardrobe.

On the other side is a bitter winter filled with artillery fire. On this side is the warm and prosperous China of 2026.

That year, a young soldier on a snowy mountain stood barefoot, his greatest wish to eat a hot potato.

That year, the admiral at the Battle of the Yellow Sea watched his warship sink, tears filling his eyes as he died unavenged.

That year, a scholar from the Southwest Associated University put down his pen and took up arms, just to win some dignity for China.

Nuannuan blinks her big eyes and reaches out her chubby little hands. “Uncles, Nuannuan will take you home for dinner!”

When the door through time opens and the heroes of the War of Resistance Against Japan cross a hundred years to arrive in 2026,

they see white rice on every street corner, aircraft carrier fleets roaring past, and children running freely in the sunshine…

The battle-hardened men burst into tears. “Wonderful, wonderful! At last, this is the prosperous age we dreamed of!”

The whole internet is in tears! No regrets being born Chinese in this life. In the next, we'll still be Chinese!
