The Five-Year-Old Beast-Talking Cutie Rides the Wolf King to Find Her Birth Father

[Period Drama + Beast-Taming Powers + Everyone’s Darling + High-Octane Revenge + A Thousand-Mile Search for Family] Mengmeng is known throughout Linjia Village as a “jinx.” Her father is dead, her mother ran away, and her second aunt’s family works her like an animal. She lives in a drafty pigsty and eats moldy bran and wild greens. Just as her foster mother is about to sell her to a twisted, lame man in the neighboring village in exchange for a bride price, Su Mengmeng awakens the “Ear of All Spirits.” From then on, everything changes on Great Green Mountain! A sparrow in a tree says, “Silly little dumpling, that wicked woman hid your jade pendant in the kang bed!” A weasel in the corner says, “Little ancestor, don’t be scared. Your real dad is a great hero, and he’s a high-ranking official up north!” When a human trafficker holds a knife to her throat, a thunderous wolf howl rings out from deep in the mountains. Su Mengmeng rides atop a silver wolf king as huge as a calf, with an army of beasts behind her. Looking down at them, she growls with adorable ferocity: “Who dares bully Mengmeng for not having a dad? Get him!” The little girl, who thought she was doomed, not only thrives in the forest, but also unexpectedly discovers that her real father is the fearsome, stone-faced commander who guards the frontier! When Su Mengmeng rides the wolf king and leads her mighty army of beasts out of the mountains, she comes face-to-face with the man known as the “Living Yama.” The entire army is stunned: “Commander, your daughter just brought a whole zoo here to attack us!”
