I’m Lin An, an undercover agent sent by a righteous immortal sect to infiltrate a demonic sect. My mission is to lie low and wait for the right moment to coordinate an attack from within.
To avoid exposing myself, I work diligently, practice the most basic demonic techniques, and take on the lowliest chores. I make sure to come across as both stupid and timid.
What I don’t know is that the demonic sect’s cultivation arts have a tiny little problem: the harder you cultivate, the sooner you die! Only slacking off keeps you alive! And the entire sect, from the leader to the elders, is trapped in the forbidden ground known as the Ten Thousand Demons Cave. They can only see the outside world through a demonic mirror.
Demonic Sect Leader: “Look! That menial worker named Lin An has been alive for ten years!”
First Elder: “Not only is he alive, he’s cultivated our entry-level demonic art to the unprecedented tenth level! He’s understood! He’s grasped the true essence of our cultivation arts!”
Holy Maiden: “So ‘not fighting or competing, living in harmony with the world’ is the supreme realm of the demonic path! He’s the true saint of the demonic path!”
While I’m still figuring out how to complete my undercover mission, the big shots of the entire sect trapped in the Ten Thousand Demons Cave have already made me their savior. They’re weeping and begging me to come out and inherit the sect’s leadership!
