The Prodigal System Says: Getting Stronger Depends on Wasting Money

Li Ergou transmigrates into Li Xunlu, a spoiled young villain destined for a miserable end. The System tells him: "Play your wastrel character properly!"

He breathes a sigh of relief. How hard could that be? Throw your weight around, live it up, bully the common folk...

But just as he's about to harass a young woman selling herself to pay for her father's burial, the System suddenly sounds the alarm: "Stop! She's the granddaughter of a retired border general!"

He angrily smashes the biggest gambling house in town, and the System praises him: "Well done! This is an enemy spy hideout!"

He empties his family's treasury overnight and goes to the brothel to throw money around. The System is ecstatic: "Congratulations, Host! You've unwittingly funded the future leader of the rebel army!"

Li Ergou is baffled. "Is there something wrong with this whole wastrel thing?"

Then one day, the male lead comes storming in with his sword drawn. "Li Xunlu, you've ruined my plans time and again. Who sent you?!"

Staring at the cold blade pointed at his throat, Li Ergou crumbles inside. "If I tell you I really just wanted to be a wastrel, will you believe me?"
