The Delicate Darling Follows the Army: The Rough Soldier Goes Red-Eyed

[Period setting] [Military marriage] [Sweet romance] [Storage space] [Marriage Before Love]

Shen Mianmian transmigrates into the 1970s as a delicate beauty, with skin as white as snow and a body as soft as cotton. But she has terrible luck: her family packs her off to the north to “bring good fortune” to her fiancé.

His letter paints a lovely picture: six-foot-two, an allowance of over a hundred yuan, and a man who cherishes his wife.

But the moment she gets off the train, Shen Mianmian sees the man standing before her: barely five-foot-seven, shifty-eyed, and already trying to get handsy. She can only laugh in anger.

Someone stole a photo and used it to pull a marriage scam!

Shen Mianmian tears up the marriage contract on the spot and turns to report him.

On a snowy, windy night, shivering, she knocks on the door of the most feared man in the entire military district.

“Commander, someone used your photo to trick a woman into marriage. Are you going to do something about it?”

Lu Zhan is known throughout the Northern Military District as the “Living King of Hell.” Hot-tempered and hard-fisted, he’s nearly thirty and won’t even let a female mosquito near him.

Looking at the little girl on his doorstep, who barely reaches his chest and has a nose red from the cold, Lu Zhan reopens the door he was about to shut.

Later, the entire military district sees the foul-tempered Lu Zhan carrying a basin of foot-washing water, cradling his little wife on his knee as he coaxes her: “Mianmian, have one more bite. I’d give my life for you.”
