A Three-Generation Mystery

The Three-Generation Mystery begins with a bizarre murder in Binhai City, setting off a chain of interlocking mysteries. Zhou Mingyuan, the owner of a construction company, is found dead at an abandoned pier. The scene yields a cuff link engraved with an “L” and a mysterious clue involving a Maybach, while the person who reported the crime vanishes like a ghost. As Detective Lin Mo investigates, he discovers that a project dispute between the victim and Zhao Hongtu, head of Hongtu Group, hides something sinister. The case also ties into the “accidental” death of Zhou’s wife a year earlier. As the investigation progresses, the mystery surrounding the victim’s daughter Zhou Yutong’s background, the family feuds spanning three generations, and a project scandal from the last century gradually come to light. The mysterious tipster Chen Mo keeps appearing, sometimes pointing the way and sometimes sowing confusion. His plans for revenge become entangled with the police’s pursuit of the killer. When the greater power behind Zhao Hongtu begins to show its hand, Lin Mo, Zhou Yutong, and Chen Mo are forced onto the same side. In a maze of truth shrouded in fog, they must fight the unseen forces lurking in the darkness while confronting the struggle between human nature and redemption. The battle between justice and darkness ultimately reverberates through the storms of Binhai City.
