Demon Slayer: How Can the Chosen Child of God Be a Total Buffoon?

[A CP shipper’s eclectic fanwork + episodic format + parallel what-if timelines + System chat group] Apologies for any out-of-character moments! A few years after the final battle in the Infinity Castle, Tanjiro dies from the side effects of his Demon Slayer Mark. His soul arrives in heaven, but before he can properly catch up with his family, the Heavenly Way whisks him off to a meeting. Also attending are his nemesis, Muzan Kibutsuji; Upper Rank Two, Doma; and Mr. Yoriichi, whom he once saw in a dream. The meeting’s agenda is the “Divine Child Reform Plan”... Since Tanjiro is the only one of the four divine children to have fulfilled his mission, the Heavenly Way believes the other three probably failed because they lacked guardians. So it decides to simulate the timelines again, giving the divine children another chance with the help of their guardians. The Heavenly Way is certain that the divine children it chose can’t be dead weight! This novel is presented as a series of episodic stories. The four timelines are parallel worlds simulated by the Heavenly Way, and do not conflict with the original timeline. Although the author tells the stories one at a time, all four storylines actually unfold simultaneously. The guardians use a chat group to exchange advice and help solve problems. The four pairings are: a familial bond between Yoya and Tsukihiko Ubuyashiki; Sun and Moon; Doma and Kotoha; and all Tanjiro (Obanai and Mitsuri stay together, and not everyone is romantically involved). The four storylines do not affect one another, so feel free to pick whichever interests you most!
